To
find information on how to get a grant for a comic book:
The
Xeric Foundation
is probably the only comic book foundation that I have found that helps
self publishing comic book artist get a start in the comic book industry.
The Foundation offers financial assistance to fully committed, self- publishing
comic book creators. You have to apply for the grant which reviews your
proposal on a semiannual basis. This site is a must for any self publishing
comic book artist or anyone looking for some help in starting your comic
book.
For
free comic book fonts:
Blambot
Fonts is my favorite site
for the comic book lettering artists. There are so many different types
of fonts and sound effect fonts on this site. There are also different
types of comic book balloons you can download to use. I recommend this
site to anyone who is learning to letter comic books. Even if you are
just looking for some cartoon like fonts this is also a great site to
look at.
Information
on drawing comic books:
Draw Comics is
another great site for comic book artist or people just wanting to learn
how to draw comics.
It contains different books you can order to learn hopw to draw comics..
Distribution
of comic book:
Diamond Distributors is mainly the only way a comic artist
can get there comic book distributed and out to the public.
